How Consultants Killed a Vision

Yes.. many professionals had this unspoken views and impressions, not only facts on the ground.. Unfortunately, across most of the developing countries; the shallow governance, un-baselined auditability and disintegrated experiences had turned many great visions and concepts into complicated web of tactical processing, business hunt and confusing statements. In addition to inefficient executives, toxic management and absent quality.. Such mix had ruined many endeavors across the countries, whereas the banners of Strategy, Transparency, Sustainability are transmitted without true meaning or delivery applications. However, it is a learning curve which is also threatened by AI-breakthrough or 5th-revolution, that make lots of the deep scientific epistemia is extremely unrecognized..!!

When visionary leadership meets poor advice, even the brightest ideas can lose their way.
THE LINE: How Consultants Killed a Vision
NEOM, and by extension THE LINE, began as a bold and revolutionary vision from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Yet major consulting firms, eager to secure colossal fees, chose to flatter rather than challenge — perhaps because they knew no better — turning an extraordinary concept into an aimless zombie.
During my nearly three years on the project as an independent consultant, I witnessed a torrent of impeccably designed but utterly pointless reports: glossy on the outside, hollow within, crafted to please rather than to inform.
As it stands, THE LINE is not economically viable, no matter how artfully the numbers are polished — they simply don’t add up. The first modules of THE LINE may be built, but could this grand city end up as a monument to absurdity?
Saudi Arabia is a great nation with wonderful people and culture. It does not deserve to become the world’s laughingstock over a project derailed by poor advice and wasted resources.
History may remember NEOM not for what it built, but for what it wasted. And that would be the greatest tragedy of all.
