The great Avenue 9 de Julio in Buenos Aires (July 9th Avenue), the capital of Argentina, is one of the widest in the world, but used to be full of buildings and houses that had up to 11 heights.
Due to the great growth of the population and to give more fluidity to traffic, in 1933 began to been demolish 20 complete blocks, to the north and south of the Obelisk.
