الديمقراطية الحضرية معنى وتعبير لا يتفق مع السرديات التقليدية في غالب العالم الثالث، وذلك نتيجة لعدم فهم واستساغة كلا المضمونين: الديمقراطية أو الحضرية.. الديمقراطية تتناقض مع تلقائية التمايزات الاجتماعية، والحضرية تتناقض مع جاذبية بساطة الحياة

Urban Democracy is a meaning and expression that does not agree with traditional narratives in most of the Third World. This is due to a lack of understanding and acceptance of both concepts: democracy or urbanism. Democracy contradicts the spontaneity of social distinctions, and Urbanism contradicts the appeal of simple life.
